Vilma Rufon |
A Year After Feb. 16, 2011 |
February 16, 2012 |
I've been delaying it for so long, I owe my husband a proper eulogy and
here's what I can best come up now.
Alexander 'pogi' - 'bathala' Mabugat Rufon was born on August 9, 1973.
While the confusion of his records state that he was born as Alexander
M. Reyon on August 8, 1973, he was the only son of Erlinda P. Mabugat
and Arsenio S. Rufon. As he was growing up, he was raised in a big
family of Mabugat and Rufon and he treated Ate Jophine, Ate Josie,
Pitchie, Obet, and Kuya Jimmy as his direct siblings. He shared his
childhood and junior years with them and they can only tell what he was
like in those days.
Married to Vilma E. Santos (the commoner, not the actress/governor) on
January 21, 2001 in the mayor's residence of the town Cavite City.
Father to two lovely kids Joshua Alexander Nathan and Faith Alexander
Elise and I wish to say...'and they lived happily ever after'.
Alex is not your typical guy. He was not your guy next door but he sure
was a handsome fella (his teens and college pics will attest to that)
and what better proof than to see how handsome and beautiful our
children are. He definitely talks a lot, you could have been one who was
annoyed or bored by his loudness or long story tell whether it was a
recent experience, an old family tell-tale or about the books he read.
He was jolly and funny and will always try to bring a good laugh into
the discussion. Combining funny and long story, you may have been
victimized by his long-coming punch line. You may have found yourself
entertained or irritated but you must sure admit that once or not that
often, his presence is missed.
In his uniqueness, he's got a big heart. He does not look down on people
and he helps strangers. He's good at making friends but he's a loner
himself. He can start a conversation with anyone but he can also stay
3-days straight at home just by himself.
He's a genius to his kids, intellectual to some, and weirdo to others.
He's all that to me and more. Inspired by the person he admired the
most, a fanatic others would call him, he helped me think better -
technologies, logic and in just about everything in life. He gives me a
better perspective, he helped me to be a better Christian, to see others
in fairness and in love. I am less prejudiced now than the first time I
was with him. I'm a better person with him.
He lived and enjoyed his life as much as he could. He made choices that
the normal people would not have preferred - well that may be a mark or
curse of a genius. He was happy and he was loved and he's pretty darn
missed.
I know he's in a better place, he's in the safest care of God. I cannot
argue with God but I still have that question I know I'll never have the
answer. I cannot question God's authority, His plans and architecture.i
can only surrender to His ways and wait for the healing to complete.

Goodbye.... |
February 22, 2011 |
what moves through us is a silence, a quite sadness,or longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say goodbye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived, and that your life give us memories too beautiful to forget , goodbye Alex.....
